Who uses New Forest Metal Recycling?

Quite simply, everybody. People from every walk of life, from all over Southampton, utilise our facilities. Indeed, if you’ve ever found yourself wondering: where is there a scrap yard near me, then wonder no more. New Forest Metal Recycling is conveniently located for all city residents in the Brokenford Business Park, and we can handle the metal recycling needs of all our clients.

Metal Scrapping

Domestic clients

Our domestic customers in Southampton are usually those who have metal appliances they wish to dispose of, or people who have recently been involved in renovation work, or some other DIY project which has resulted in a bunch of scrap metal (piping and cabling are the usual suspects) lying around, which requires disposal. We are happy to collect any scrap metal direct from your home, and transport it to the scrap yard in one of our vans.

Commercial clients

On the other end of the scale, we have commercial customers. These tend to fall into three categories: metal merchants, tradesmen, and industrial companies. Metal merchants may be looking to buy from us, or they might be looking to offload their own inventory for scrap value. Tradesmen include plumbers, electricians, and joiners – people who come into contact with metal on a regular basis, as part of their job, and are looking to dispose of them safely. The third group is made up of businesses and factories that operate a lot of heavy metal-based machinery, some of which has a tendency to break down. In any event, we are happy to collect and recover any metal from any legitimate source from any location in Southampton.

Car Scrappers

Car scrapping

As well as commercial and domestic scrap metal, we are also interested in recycling cars. This is a two part process: once we’ve assessed your vehicle and exchanged the necessary paperwork, our team of professionals will collect it for you and transport it to the recycling centre. Here we will first break it down and recover any usable parts – light assemblies, the engine block, windshields, mirrors, and the like – anything that can be reused in another vehicle in need of repair. Once we have stripped the car, the remaining metal can be recycled.
